WE ARE SURVIVORS!
KatrinaConnection.com is a registered Louisiana non-profit public service initiative, created by and
for survivors (former evacuees) of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and now Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, as
a non-partisan, community, news, current affairs and networking website.
The site is intended to show the struggles, strength, determination, and resiliency of all those
affected by the hurricanes.
Objectives include being informative and connecting survivors of the storms an their aftermath with
each other and offering a more ideal, sensitive, and personalized means of resourceful post-Katrina
information.
WE DO NOT SOLICIT NOR ACCEPT DONATIONS ON BEHALF OF ANY ORGANIZATION
OR AGENCY NOR ENDORSE ANY POLITICAL CANDIDATE.
The Katrina Connection Network offers local, regional & national news feeds, info, and updates on
neighborhoods, schools, the business sector, current events or happenings, and a blog - all for
survivors and others related to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, and Ike affected areas.
We intend to be informative, yet entertaining. Straightforward, but maybe off-the-wall. Vital, yet
exciting & vibrant. To be a constant companion for anyone whose life was changed forever by the
storms, offering items of interest, articles of depth, & updates on life in the Big Easy and other
affected areas. You are encouraged and invited to submit articles and/or photos.
To all those who have contributed to hurricane relief efforts, by
volunteering, donations to the charities of your choice, and with prayers -
thank you
for all your help!
