KatrinaConnection.com is a registered Louisiana non-profit public service initiative, created by and
for survivors (and former evacuees) of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and other Gulf Coast storms, as a
source of non-partisan, community, news, current affairs and networking.
The Katrina Connection Network is intended to show the struggles, strength, determination, and
resiliency of all those affected by the hurricanes. To be informative, yet entertaining.
Straightforward, but maybe off-the-wall. Vital, yet exciting & vibrant. To be a constant companion
for anyone whose life was changed forever by the storms, offering items of interest, articles of
depth, & updates on life in the Big Easy and other affected areas.
You are encouraged and invited to submit articles and/or photos.
The network is composed of a website, a blog, facebook page, twitter account, YouTube channel,
and YOU. It.offers local, regional & national news feeds, info, and updates on neighborhoods,
schools, the business sector, and current events or happenings - all for survivors, relief workers
and anyone in hurricane-affected areas.
Objectives include being informative and connecting survivors of the storms and their aftermath
with each other and offering a more ideal, sensitive, and personalized means of resourceful
