Katrina Connection.com, is a Louisiana registered non-profit, non-partisan, community current
affairs and networking initiative created by survivors (former evacuees) of Hurricane Katrina.
Objectives include being informative and connecting survivors of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and now
- Gustav, and the storm aftermaths with an ideal, more sensitive, and personalized means of
resourceful post-Katrina information. In addition, this website is here to inform, facilitate, and offer
available resources for hurricane evacuees to connect with loved ones or friends.
WE DO NOT SOLICIT NOR ACCEPT DONATIONS ON BEHALF OF ANY ORGANIZATION
OR AGENCY NOR ENDORSE ANY POLITICAL CANDIDATE.
The Katrina Connection network offers local, regional & national news feeds, info, and updates on
neighborhoods, schools, the business sector, current events or happenings, and a blog - all for
survivors and others related to Katrina or Rita areas.
We intend to be informative, yet entertaining. Straightforward, but maybe off-the-wall. Vital, yet
exciting & vibrant. To be a constant companion for anyone whose life was changed forever by the
storms, offering items of interest, articles of depth, & updates on life in the Big Easy and other
affected areas. You are encouraged and invited to submit articles and/or photos.
WE ARE SURVIVORS!
To all those who have contributed to hurricane relief efforts, by
volunteering, donations to the charities of your choice, and with prayers -
thank you
for all your help!
